Raw Chocolate infused with ‘Wild Orange’ essential Oil
The ultimate crowd pleaser – these will not hang around for long! These could not be any simpler to make and the addition of the essential oil (optional) makes them extra indulgent.
Cacao contains flavonoids, antioxidant compounds which are said to protect against cell damage caused by free-radicals. The flavonoids found in cacao are called flavonols and research has found that they are especially beneficial with regard to blood flow. They help to lower blood pressure, promote normal blood clotting function and have been said to decrease the risk of heart disease.
Chocolate is also known for its mood boosting qualities, as it encourages the production of ‘happy hormone’ endorphins and contains serotonin, which acts as a natural (mild) anti-depressant.
Kids adore getting in the kitchen and getting messy (licking that bowl!!) and this is a great one for them to help with with as it is simple and quick. Get creative with the moulds for different holidays and occasions!
Chocolates should be kept in an air tight container in the fridge. ENJOY!
