Cardamom Bliss Balls

This is a great great snack for the whole family. Quick and easy to make, packed with nutritional goodness, gluten free, dairy free and refined sugar free. The combination of good fats and protein makes them perfect to combat that afternoon slump or after school hunger!

Ready in

150g almonds

150g pecans

100g cashews

2 drops of doterra cardamom oil (alternatively crush the seed from two fresh cardamom pods)

100g dates

1 tsp vanilla paste

2 tbls coconut oil

50g 100% dark chocolate

3 tbls nut milk (mylk)

2 tbls CBD honey

shredded coconut (optional)

85% chocolate (optional)

Place the pecans, cashews and almonds into a dry pan on a low heat for 20 minutes tossing occasionally.

In the meantime steep the dates in a bowl with some hot water and allow to sit for 10 minutes.

Strain the water off the dates and place them in a food processor. Add in the cardamom, vanilla, coconut oil nut milk and CBD honey and blend to a smooth paste.
Set to the side in a large bowl.

Once the nuts have cooled place them in the food processor along with the 100% dark chocolate and pulse to a medium crumb.

Add the crumbed nuts to the date mix and combine.

Roll them out with the palm of your hand into about 25 bite size bliss balls.
option – cover some of the bliss ball in 85% melted chocolate and some covered with the chocolate and then rolled in shredded coconut.

Allow to cool in the fridge for an hour.
